ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The 20th annual Southeastern Conference on the Teaching of Psychology sponsored by the Kennesaw State University Department of Psychology and Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning will be held at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta-Perimeter NW (10 miles north of downtown Atlanta on I-285) on February 29-March 1, 2008. Featured keynotes addresses will be given by Bryan Saville and Tracy Zinn. Concurrent sessions will focus on teaching techniques and issues in specific psychology courses such as statistics, history & systems, abnormal psychology, gender, psychology and law, social psychology, and introductory psychology. Among other topics, additional sessions will include strategies for using technology to enhance student learning, syllabus construction, test item construction, undergraduate research, assessing course and program learning outcomes, online teaching, and techniques to enhance learner-centered teaching. A paricipant poster session is also scheduled.

POSTER SESSION
Participants are invited to submit proposals for poster presentations at the conference on topics related to the teaching of psychology. An electronic copy (Word or rtf file) of the poster abstract proposal should be sent to
Mike Firment (mfirment@kennesaw.edu) by Friday, February 8, 2008. Because of limited space, poster proposals must be received by the deadline for consideration. Instructions for preparing your poster will be sent with your notification of acceptance. Participants are also invited to share and demonstrate computer-based activities that they use in or out of class.
