Comprehensive Program Review

2001-02 Program Review Summaries Submitted to the System Office

Overview

The USG's prescribed format for preparing and submitting summary reports of comprehensive program reviews completed in 2001-2002 was issued by the System Office at the end of the academic year in 2002. The window of opportunity for completing and transmitting those reports was relatively short. Problems encountered in using the new electronic reporting system and doing so within the restricted timeframe for reporting resulted in KSU's transmission of only five summary reports in 2002 as listed below. Those submissions allowed KSU to be a participant in the first round of the System Office's review of summary CPR reports for triggered programs. Subsequently in 2003, the USG's format for preparing and submitting reports to the System Office was overhauled and improved substantially. KSU's remaining 37 summary CPR reports for reviews initiated in 2001-02 were submitted to the System Office in June 2003. The one-year extension for these reports proved to be helpful since it permitted programs to "close the loop" by reporting improvements underway or completed in their first-year follow-up reports found elsewhere on this Web site. A CPR summary report for the General Education program was requested and submitted to the System Office. The five other program reviews conducted in the Division of University Studies were not submitted and served institutional interests primarily.
