CETL Faculty Learning Communities
List
of Previous Recipients and Their Project Titles
The
CETL Faculty Learning Communities Program (FLCP) is designed to bring
together small groups of faculty (no more than six) who are interested
in focusing on a particular teaching and learning initiative for some
extended period of time (e.g., a full semester or an academic year). Faculty
are encouraged to submit proposals to establish a Faculty Learning Community
on a topic that advances excellence in teaching and learning at KSU. Topics
might be something specifically related to a department or discipline
or one that crosses disciplines and departments. Faculty submitting proposals
will serve as the Coordinator(s) of the Learning Community and will work
directly with CETL to recruit faculty participants and coordinate the
events associated with their Learning Community. Funded proposals include
$750 in professional travel funds for the FLC Coordinator(s) and $500
in professional travel funds for the participants of a FLC. All required
materials for the FLC (e.g., books) will be provided by CETL up to $750. A
complete description of the program, including application materials and
criteria, is available
at this link (NOTE: This is a Rich Text Format,
rtf, document). The
deadline for receipt of proposals is August 31, 2009.
