B.S. in Exercise and Health Science

LabThe Exercise and Health Science major is a unique contemporary degree that merges the knowledge and skills of the Exercise Science field with that of Health Promotion.  Using this broad-based training approach, graduates will understand the scientific basis of exercise/fitness along with the strategies used to design and implement comprehensive health programs for the public and private sectors.  Within Exercise and Health Science, students can select one of two capstones: 1) Internship Experience or 2) Pre-Professional Electives.  The Internship is designed to provide students with a full semester work experience in an approved Exercise and Health Science setting. The Pre-Professional electives provide students with the opportunity to select science-based and upper level coursework to prepare them for Graduate study (e.g., physical therapy, exercise physiology).
