Clinical Requirements - Self Study Modules

Required Self-Study Modules

  • Bloodborne Safety: Universal Precautions, Standard Precautions, and Needlestick Prevention (w/Video) (1 hr)
  • Confidentiality: Who Needs to Know (w/Video) (2 hr)
  • Documenting Care: The Charting Process (w/Video) (1 hr)
  • Getting Ready for Terrorism: Preparing the Healthcare Community for Biological, Chemical, and Radiological Weapons (w/Video) (2 hr)
  • Lifting Safely to Prevent Injury (1 hr)

To access these courses, click on the following link: www.medcomrn.com/kennesaw

UserID : 9-digit student ID#, including zeros (example: 000112345)
Password : Faculty will provide password.

Hardware requirements for viewing:

  • Must use Internet Explorer
  • Must turn the IE pop-up blocker off
  • Must be accessed via a broadband connection (DSL or Cable Modem) - dial-up Internet users will have to come to campus and view in the computer lab.

After logging in with the above, click on the "Kennesaw" link, and then choose the module from above that you want to view. From the resultant window that opens, choose the "RealOne" Media Player option (the Windows Media is currently nonfunctional).

After successful completion of the course:

  • Complete the Course Evaluation.
  • Test scores can be viewed immediately. (80% is a passing score)
  • Print a Certificate of Completion (for your own personal use, DO NOT bring to faculty). Faculty will review completed courses.
