Career Opportunities
Professional nursing is a dynamic field, ever-expanding and adapting to the evolution of healthcare.  Nursing is considered one of the top-10 careers for the upcoming decade.  A career in advanced practice nursing, as a nurse practitioner, manager, clinical nurse specialist, or nurse educator, can lead you to the personal and professional satisfaction.

Flexible Scheduling
Both programs are designed for working professional nurses with all classes scheduled on alternate weekends for 15 months (four straight semesters).  Nurse practitioner students must also complete 630+ hours of clinical practice while students enrolled in the MSN in Advanced Care Management and Leadership Program must complete 540 practicum hours.

An Experienced Faculty
Involvement is the key word describing the graduate nursing programs faculty, whose knowledge and expertise greatly enrich the students’ overall learning experience.  The faculty’s research and community service interests include health care for the underserved, gerontology, transcultural nursing, HIV-AIDS, minority health, and ethics.

Clinical/Practicum Opportunities
The graduate degree nursing programs maintain close ties with healthcare agencies throughout the state providing the students with the opportunity for varied and diverse clinical and/or practicum experiences.
