The first Nursing program at KSU began as Associate Degree program in 1968. In 1985, a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) program was added. This program’s study options include a traditional generic baccalaureate degree, an accelerated generic baccalaureate degree, and an RN-BSN completion option. In 1995, the associate degree program was discontinued with the last class graduating in 1997. Also, in 1995, the first Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) program was added with the implementation of the WellStar Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program. A second graduate program, the MSN in Advanced Care Management and Leadership, was added in 2003. All of the programs housed in the WellStar School of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). |
