- Student Clinical Orientation Checklist – complete and email to Becky Shabo @ rshabo@kennesaw.edu
- Clinical Instructors must schedule an appointment with Staci Pendley , HR Administrator @ 404-785-7810 two weeks before first day of clinical to request a specific number of student badges for clinical group. Badges will grant access to basic hospital/department doors and parking decks (employee entrance/exit).
Badge pick up @ Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Human Resources Front Desk, 1600 Tullie Circle NE, Atlanta, GA 30329
- All instructors must have a Background Check & Drug Screening through Advantage www.advantagestudents.com The fee for this service is $97.00. Select Children Health Care of Atlanta (CHOA) to view your results. Background Check & Drug Screening must be completed at least two weeks before the first day of clinical. Forward e-mailed Advantage payment receipt to llongeir@kennesaw.edu for reimbursement.
- Must have flu vaccine for current flu season. Fall semester flu documentation must be submitted by 2nd Friday in October - Spring Semester flu documentation must be submitted two weeks before first clinical start date to room HS 3004 or email .
Instructors new to Children’s or who have not served as a Children’s clinical instructor/employee within the past 12 months must attend Patient Care Provider Orientation. CHOA technical training team is once again able to offer the 1-day Epic training for new incoming instructors. If a new instructor is unable to attend the 1-day Epic Training they will have to be placed in the regular RN track, which is 3 days of class.

- Epic class date choice
- PCPO class date choice
Returning instructors must contact IS&T helpdesk (404-785-6767) to check on the status of their NT and Epic Log-in accounts. The accounts need to be active in order for them to use the system. If there are any issues with the account, then the instructor needs to contact Becky Shabo @ rshabo@kennesaw.edu to follow up on your behalf (I cannot do the first check since it involves passwords). Please provide in your e-mail the following information to facilitate account reactivation:
- Full name (including middle initial)
- Last 4 digits of social
- Birth date in mm/dd/yyyy format
- Login username
