Faculty/Instructor must complete the same paperwork that is required for the students, which can be found on Piedmont’s Website.
All faculty new to Piedmont must complete general nursing orientation prior to the start of any clinical rotation. Proficiency of nursing skills and the use of equipment must be demonstrated during orientation. All nursing faculty working with students at Piedmont Healthcare must demonstrate proficiency of nursing skills and use of equipment annually. Nursing Faculty with a 6 month lapse of clinical rotations at Piedmont Healthcare, must complete general nursing orientation prior to the start of any clinical rotation. For faculty who have been working with students at Piedmont without a lapse, proficiency of nursing skills and use of equipment must be demonstrated prior the start of the Fall 2009 clinical rotations and must be completed every fall thereafter. All new faculty must complete orientation paperwork found on the student orientation web site in lieu of attending new employee orientation. All faculty must complete orientation paperwork annually.
Background Check & Drug Screening: Faculty must have a Drug Screening & Background Check $97.00 Package. Forward e-mailed Advantage payment receipt to llongeir@kennesaw.edu for reimbursement. Please follow instructions for Drug Screening and Criminal Background on Piedmonts Website.
Contact Pamela Redman at least three weeks before clinical start date for General Nursing Orientation dates. The times/dates for GNO changes depending upon the number of nurses we have who need to attend orientation.
