The purpose of Phi Alpha Honor Society is to provide a closer bond among students of social work and promote humanitarian goals and ideals. Phi Alpha fosters high standards of education for social workers and invites into membership, those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work.

Membership Qualifications

1. Graduate Requirements:
• Achieved a minimum GPA of 3.5 in Social Work courses.
• Completed a minimum of nine (9) credit hours of Social Work courses. 
2. Faculty Membership - Membership is available to all full–time social work faculty.

Application Fee

There is a one-time application fee of $30.00. Please make sure you meet the requirements above before submitting an application. The fee is non-refundable. Please make checks payable to Phi Alpha.
