Jennifer A. Wade-Berg is an Assistant Professor of Human Services and the Campus Executive Director of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Certificate Program at Kennesaw State University in the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services’ Department of Social Work and Human Services. Her teaching emphasis is nonprofit management, cultural competency, and social entrepreneurship. Her research interests include the use of for profit business techniques to generate alternative revenue streams for nonprofit organizations, retention strategies for underrepresented groups, and cultural competency in nonprofit education curriculum.
From 2008-2010, Dr. Wade-Berg served as the first Chief Diversity Officer for Kennesaw State University. As Chief Diversity Officer, she was responsible for all policies, procedures, and activities as they relate to diversity and creating an inclusive campus environment. Currently, she is the PI and Program Administrator for Kennesaw State University’s Recruitment, Retention, and Progression to Graduation Program for Hispanic and Latino Students.
Prior to coming to Atlanta, Dr. Wade-Berg was an Assistant Professor of Nonprofit Management and Faculty Fellow for Inclusion at the University of Colorado Denver. Dr. Wade-Berg received a Bachelor’s of Arts in American Government from Wesleyan University (CT), and her master’s and doctoral degrees in Public Administration from the University of Georgia. She is currently a member of the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA), the Academy of Management (AOM), the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA); Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and The Links, Incorporated. She also serves on various nonprofit and editorial boards, including: The Ivy Community Fund, Inc. the Pearl Foundation, Insight to Diversity, and the Journal of Nonprofit Education and Leadership
