Wellness Programs
- Pedometer Program -
Most adults average 2000-4000 steps each day - the equivalent of only 1-2 miles. The 10K-A-Day walking program will boost participants' physical activity as they work their way to 10,000 steps a day - the level proven to control weight, reduce disease risk, increase energy, enhance mood, and improve sleep. Pedometers help motivate participants to keep moving as they discover the joys of walking.
- Peer Education Program - Peer Educators are a group of students trained to facilitate fun and interactive wellness and health education programs for fellow students. Peer educators help make the campus healthier, safer, and more enjoyable.
- Change for Wellness Incentive Program - When you attend a Wellness event, you will receive a Wellness token. When you have collected four tokens, you can trade them for your choice of a t-shirt or a water bottle. Stop by the Wellness Center to cash in for prizes!
- Nutrition Counseling - Meet with a registered dietician for an assessment of your current eating habits, challenges, lifestyle, medical conditions, and overall nutritional needs. You will receive expert advice for losing weight, gaining weight, help with an eating disorder, getting health conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure under control, and much more!
- The Wellness and Lifestyle Management Program (For Faculty and Staff) - What in the world does wellness mean to you? How well are you? Do you know how to improve your current level of wellness? Most people think being well is just about exercising and eating right, but it's actually much more than that. Click on the link to learn more.
