Professional Development

The Center for Latin American and Iberian Studies collaborates with the Ministry of Education of Spain in facilitating workshops twice per year for K-12 public school teachers of Spanish Language. The Center also supports the Summer Study Abroad Program, sponsored by the Ministry of Education of Spain for K-12 teachers and administrators. The summer program and workshops promote the appreciation of Latin American and Iberian communities locally and abroad, thereby, affirming the principles of social inclusion, equity and civism.

Community Outreach

The Center for Latin American and Iberian Studies collaborates with non-profit and institutional organizations on initiatives that provide services that support Latin American groups in need who are part of our community. Services provided are wide-ranging and cover the following areas: culture, education, and healthcare, among others. The Center's fellows direct these programs that assist in building a multicultural dialogue between Kennesaw State University and the larger community for understanding of the diversity of Latin Americans living in Georgia.
