Center Information


The Center for the Study of the Civil War Era's collection and office resources are currently housed on the third floor of the Social Science Building in Room 3014 on the main campus of Kennesaw State University.

The book collection associated with the Center is located on the second and third floors in the stacks of Kennesaw State University's Sturgis Library.

Hours of operation

You may contact the Civil War Center anytime between 9am and 4pm, Monday through Friday, at 470-578-2551, or via e-mail at

Center staff and personnel are available to answer queries or facilitate research by students and patrons via e-mail, telephone contact or in person. Initial responses for assistance will normally be made within one business day. On-site visits can be made by appointment. Follow-up contacts are often necessary, so when submitting questions, please provide full contact information to aid in that process.
