History
In the summer of 2005, two students by the names of Ja'Mal Murphy and Brent Obleton came together to formulate a plan to create an organization that will help in the retention of the African American male population at Kennesaw State University. After much thought and prayer Distinguished Black Gentlemen was approved by SABAC on September 14, 2005. With the help of the men of Distinguished Black Gentlemen and their advisor, their hope is to change the present state of African American males on the campus of Kennesaw State University and the surrounding community.
