Academic Recognition
Members are recognized for their scholastic achievements. Membership in Golden Key
National Honor Society identifies members as being in the top 15% of all juniors and
seniors. Members are presented with a personalized certificate at the chapter's induction
ceremony. Additional pins, charms, medallions, and honor cords are available.
Career Assistance
Corporations recognize that Golden Key members are distinguished nationally for their
academic excellence and seek to recruit them for career positions, as well as co-ops and
internships. The Career Assistance Reference is a listing of more than 400 such companies
including; KPMG Peat Marwick, NCR, Merck & Co., Motorola, Aetna, General Mills, and
Ford Motor Co. The reference is available for a nominal fee as an added benefit for our

Scholarships
Two Undergraduate Awards are awarded for each chapter. In addition, there are Graduate
Scholar Awards issued by the National Headquarters. For other awards and contests see the

Publications
Golden Key is proud of its national award-winning magazine, CONCEPTS, which highlights the
achievements and activities of Society members. Members are encouraged to submit articles
for this all-member publication. Additionally, with membership, members receive Key Notes,
Golden Key's newsletter.
Leadership Opportunities
Members can gain valuable leadership experience by becoming a chapter officer. Officers
have opportunities to attend regional conferences and an international convention.
Chapter Activities
Chapter activities offer members opportunities to have fun and build friendships by
participating in social and service activities. Additional activities include literary and
art contests, the Student Scholastic Showcase, and community outreach programs. Lifetime
members are always invited to the Society's annual convention and to regional conferences
for additional personal development.
Circle of Honor
As Golden Key National Honor Society continues to grow, the member benefits expand. In
response to the requests from members desiring active affiliation with Golden Key after
graduation, the Society has developed the Circle of Honor member program. The goal of this
program is to maintain formal contact with graduated members and to provide additional
unique benefits and opportunities to lifetime members of Golden Key.These benefits
