The Student Organization of Sociology (SOS) is open to all Kennesaw State University students, faculty, staff, and alumnae. It will not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, age, religion, creed, color, handicap, disability, veteran status, national origin, or ancestry. The only requirements for membership are the payment of dues (see S.O.S. Constitution & Bylaws, Article VIII) and the maintenance of the status of academic good standing. Membership renewal occurs on a yearly or semester basis, and is accomplished by paying appropriate dues with payment being made in the Fall of each year. Members may terminate their membership at any time by no paying dues and/or ceasing to attend meetings. Forced member removal will result when a member fails to recognize and abide by the principles and policies that are specifically stated in the Constitution and Bylaws. The organization will ensure that its membership will not practice any physically, psychologically, or emotionally abusive hazing related behaviors-either intentionally or unintentionally.
