The mission of the KSU Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth is to provide an inclusive post-secondary opportunity for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Inclusive post-secondary education (IPSE) is about creating opportunities for young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to access higher education. When motivated young people have the opportunity to obtain higher education, their ability to realize their potential grows by leaps and bounds – and so do their economic prospects. Individuals with intellectual disabilities who receive post-secondary education are more likely to find paid employment than those who don't, and their earnings are 73% higher than peers who do not receive post-secondary education.
