Nursing in Faith Communities

This 45-hour course is designed to provide nurses with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop a basic understanding of nursing in faith communities and it’s roles and responsibilities. Emphasis is placed on learning strategies and techniques to meet the health and spiritual needs of diverse populations across the lifespan and developing intercollegial peer support systems. In addition, students will learn to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate appropriate interventions based on assessment findings, and presentation of health data to groups. Successful completion of this course will qualify the individual to assume the role of a Faith Community Nurse.
