The Global Center for Social Change serves to create meaningful social change in order to positively impact the lives of oppressed, underserved, and/or economically deprived persons worldwide.
The Global Center's four divisions serve to fulfill its business model which provides training and consulting, business and policy development, cultural exchange and education programs:
Promoting international human rights for people with disabilities through partnership with the United Nations
Creating opportunities and development of women leaders in the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.
Supporting the welfare and rights of children through strategic partnerships via the Center for Excellence in Children’s Advocacy
Encouraging health and fitness, cultural exchange, human rights, peace, and economic development through an 'Academy' structure in select African countries
As part of The WellStar College of Health and Human Services, The Global Center seeks to:
Provide Training and Education to its global constituents that is accessible,
meaningful and of the highest quality.
Sponsoring and Conducting Programs, Projects and Initiatives which include
research, teaching, service, and scholarship that are targeted and based on outcomes.
Foster Community Engagement to achieve our mission engaging/involving KSU faculty,
staff, students and external partners in its work.
Support Intellectual Inquiry of and by all who are involved in Global Center initiatives and programs.
Better the Livesof Those We Serve through efforts that influence policy, promote human rights, encourage economic development, and further the inclusion of underserved and oppressed groups in all aspects of society.
