Honor: Kenneth Burchette was selected as KSU's 2008 National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) HPE Major of the Year at the Fort Worth, TX Convention for the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AAHPERD).  Mr. Burchette was also selected as the Outstanding Student Teacher for Spring 2008 in the Bagwell College of Education.

Honor: Jeremy Edwards was the sole recipient of the Virginia Clonts Memorial Scholarship for 2007. The scholarship was available from the Beta Alpha Chapter Of Alpha Delta Kappa International Honorary Sorority for Women Educators. It was open to students who will be student teaching in the fall 2007. Jeremy was also selected as the 2007 Teresa Russell Scholar. The Teresa Russell Memorial Scholarship is in honor of Ms. Russell's giving nature and her commitment to education as a significant means of reaching one's human potential. Mr. Edwards was also the recipient of the Bob M. Prillaman Scholarship. The Bob M. Prillaman Scholarship Fund was established in 1989 by Caraustar Industries to honor Mr. Bob Prillaman. Full or part time students with good academic standing, showing academic promise, pursuing a program of study leading to a degree, and demonstrating financial need, are eligible.

Honor: Judy Cross was selected as the recipient of the 2007 GAHPERD Undergraduate Student Scholarship and KSU's 2007 National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) HPE Major of the Year at the Baltimore, MD Convention for the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AAHPERD). Mrs. Cross was also selected as the Outstanding Senior in the Health and Physical Education program at KSU for 2007.

Honor: Matthew Shirley was selected as the Outstanding Senior in the Exercise and Health Science program at KSU for 2007.

Honor: Lukasz Skrzypiec was selected as the Outstanding Senior in the Sport Management program at KSU for 2007.

Honor: David Albert (Sport Management) was awarded Honor's Scholar status by the Honor's Council at KSU's summer 2006 graduation ceremony. David was also the Sport Management Student of the Year for 2005-2006.

Honor: Megan Baxter, a Health and Physical Education major, received the 2004 Toby Hopper Endowed Scholarship. Megan is the mother of three children and is a nationally certified Water Fitness Instructor. Megan plans to teach at either the elementary or middle school level upon graduation.
