The Baccalaureate Degree Nursing Program offers an accelerated track for completing the BSN curriculum for students holding a bachelor's degree from an acceptably accredited institution in a field other than nursing. This track offers a time-accelerated progression through the clinical nursing curriculum allowing completion of coursework in a 16-month period. This track requires a full-time, year-round commitment to the educational program for four regular semesters.

The nursing application is SEPARATE from the University's general admission application. Click here to go to the application. ALL PREREQUISITE COURSES MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ENTERING YOUR FIRST NURSING CLASS.
Our nursing admission requirements include:
- Must have applied to KSU and have KSU ID number.
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited U.S. institution (or equivalent international degree with all KSU Core Requirements completed).
- Must complete at least 7 of the following 12 prerequisite courses to apply to the nursing program, 5 of which must be from the math and science requirements (all 12 must be completed prior to entering the first clinical nursing course):
ENGL 1101 & 1102
MATH 1101 & 1107
CHEM 1151/L & 1152 and Lab
BIOL 2221/L, 2222/L, 2261 and Lab
PSYC 1101 & 3305
SOCI 2105 or 2201
(Check with the WellStar School of Nursing advisor for acceptable substitutions) - Possess a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7.
- Earn a grade of C or better in all science, math, and English courses.
- Completion of a nursing entrance exam: TEAS - Test of Essential Academic Skills (limit to 2 attempts) BEFORE THE APPLICATION DEADLINE - information and study guide are available at www.ATItesting.com. Registration available at www.kennesaw.edu/coned/professional.
Students admitted to the program are expected to be full-time and commit 4-5 days per week to their studies.

Graduating with Honors: In order to graduate with Honors, students must complete 60 hours of coursework at KSU. Additionally, honors eligibility is calculated using grades from your next to last semester of coursework.
NOTE: Degreed applicants must successfully complete American History and American Government , as required by the state of Georgia. Make sure you meet this mandatory requirement prior to graduation.

- The first two semesters of the Fall Accelerated Program will be taught at the Rome campus only. The Summer Semester and the final Fall Semester courses will be taught on KSU's main campus.
- Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Research, Nutrition, Community Health and Leadership may be taught online.
