Center For Community Healthcare
The Center for Community healthcare was formed in 2002 to provide a formal means for the School of Nursing to collaborate with community agencies to provide healthcare to both the KSU Community, vulnerable and underserved populations and other groups in the metropolitan Atlanta region.
Mission: - Promote community understanding of the needs of vulnerable and underserved populations in the metropolitan Atlanta region. - Encourage research into the identification of healthcare needs of the target population, effectiveness of service provision and other topics related to community healthcare - Facilitate the provision of healthcare services to the target populations through community clinics. - Serve as a resource to other communities interested in addressing the healthcare needs of vulnerable and underserved populations. - Promote collaboration among agencies providing healthcare and social services to the target population.
