WellStar School of Nursing: Distance Learning

In the fall of 1997, the faculty began developing a vision for the integration of advanced technology, including Web-based courses, in our educational program in nursing. Our first pilot online courses were taught from August 1999 to June 2000. These courses provided the RN-BSN student with all of the required nursing courses, the option of taking them online. All students can take these courses online, but preference is given to RN-BSN students.
