Admission Requirements

The Dept. of Baccalaureate Degree Nursing ascribes to the Georgia RN/BSN Articulation Model. Advanced placement is available in the baccalaureate degree program for selected registered nurses. Successful completion of Nurs 3320, Concepts of Nursing, a 3-hour non-degree credit course, allows you to receive 25 semester hours of sophomore and junior level nursing credits and enter the clinical sequence at the senior level. This course can be taken only once. If you are not successful in completing it, no validation credits will be granted and you must complete the sophomore and junior levels of the nursing sequence.

  • Must be fully admitted to KSU
  • Must have met admissions criteria for KSU and/or any testing requirements of the GA RN/BSN Articulation Model
  • Must have completed or be able to complete by the end of Spring Semester, the following courses:
    ENGL1101 & 1102; MATH 1101 & 1107; CHEM 1151/L & 1152/L; BIOL 2221/L, 2222/L, 2261/L & 3317; PSYC 1101 & 3305; SOCI 2105; NURS 3303 & 3309.
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 2.7.
  • A grade of C or better in all science courses
  • A professional letter of reference
  • Application for entry to the BSN program. Applications are available online. The deadline for admission to Nurs 3320 is August 15.
  • Current valid Georgia RN license (must be shown to Nursing Administrator).
  • Applications need to be submitted to the Admissions/Advisement Center by August 15th, or mailed to:
