Responsible for coordinating and teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, course development and revision, online enhancement of courses and policy decision making with other faculty.   Have accountability for conducting research, publishing, grant writing, and guiding student research. Other tasks include participation on university, college, and nursing committees and service to the community.    
2004    Tenured Professor, Clayton College & State University
Responsible for coordinating and teaching courses at the undergraduate level, course development and revision, and policy decision making with other faculty. I implemented a HRSA grant designed to increase the nursing workforce diversity. Had accountability for conducting research, publishing, grant writing, and guiding student projects. Other tasks included participation on university, college, and nursing committees and service to the community.

Morrow, Georgia
Responsible for coordinating and teaching courses at the undergraduate level, course development and revision, and policy decision making with other faculty. Developed an online Nursing Informatics Series with Dr. Eichelberger and developed web enhanced courses. I implemented a HRSA grant designed to increase the nursing workforce diversity. Had accountability for conducting research, publishing, grant writing, and guiding student projects. Other tasks included participation on university, college, and nursing committees and service to the community, I was the Director of a HRSA nursing workforce diversity grant and worked with middle school and high school students in Clayton County schools. 

 

1995-1999

Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine, Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia. Held the responsibilities of an adjunct faculty including attending and voting at faculty meetings. Also, I taught medical students the empirical evidence of the effects of hospitalization on children and practical strategies to decrease distress for hospitalized children.
