Preceptor Information

Dear Preceptor,

Thank you very much for you willingness to serve as a preceptor for one of the KSU Baccalaureate degree nursing students. We appreciate the time, energy, and commitment you give to the education of the student to guide them in the practice of nursing. 

 

In this packet (linked below) is the syllabus for the N4417 course that the student is taking for this practicum experience. The last page is a preceptor qualification form required by the Georgia Board of Nursing. Please complete the form and return it to us by giving it to the student or faculty to bring to campus. 

 

Please know that the student has a clinical instructor who is available by telephone, email, or in person to discuss any concerns about the students’ progress in this course. The clinical instructor will visit the student and you regularly throughout the semester so that students’ learning needs can be addressed. Once again we appreciate your professional service to assist with the growth and development of our newest nurses. Please don’t hesitate to call for questions you might have.
