The Department offers a multi-disciplinary education highlighting principles of social justice, family and child welfare, nonprofit governance, and respect for diversity and social change.  We are highly committed to students, through one-on-one mentoring, participatory and interactive teaching, and a variety of departmental student organizations.  And, the Department provides the most advanced education for students to begin careers as human service workers, nonprofit administrators, and social workers.  Our faculty members are experienced, enthusiastic and committed teachers who bring a full range of practice and research experience to the classroom.
