Apple Crunch Oatmeal
October brings changing leaves and the start of the apple harvest! This fiber-packed fruit is a good source of the flavonoid quercitin, an antioxidant that may protect against cancer and heart disease. Pair chopped apples with inexpensive and filling oatmeal for a comforting breakfast on cold autumn mornings.

½ low fat of fat free milk
½ cup water
2 tablespoons raisins
½ tablespoon packed brown sugar
½ apple peeled, cored, and chopped

Cinnamon

Mix oats, milk, water, raisins, sugar, apple, salt, and flaxseed in a saucepan over the stove. Boil the mixture, then cover it and reduce heat, let simmer for 10 minutes, stirring at numerous times.Once the combination is softened in the pan, remove from stove, put into bowl and sprinkle cinnamon for added flavor
