One way the KSU Learn and Serve Center will inform faculty, students and community entities about service-learning activities and opportunities is through publications.

NEWSLETTERS

L & S Now is the quarterly newsletter of the Learn and Serve Center at KSU. Mailed to all KSU faculty members, the newsletter will keep you aware of the latest news, events and opportunities in KSU service-learning, and spotlight a different service-learning project in each issue.

Serving To Learn is the quarterly newsletter for K-12 service-learning in Georgia. Mailed to all K-12 schools in Georgia, this newsletter contains information on statewide K-12 Learn and Serve conferences, activities and awards. A comprehensive issue of Serving To Learn is distributed at the end of the school year to K-12 schools.

The Learn and Serve Center is creating a series of informative brochures targeted to faculty, students and community agencies.

COMING SOON

KSU Faculty Learn and Serve Handbook
This handbook will contain information on the steps involved in implementing a service-learning project in your class, including helpful tips, examples of successful service-learning programs, sample forms, contracts and syllabi, and other materials.

Notes From the Round Table: Perspectives on service-learning from KSU faculty
The center will host a round table discussion, inviting all faculty members to share their views and experiences on unusual setbacks and surprise successes. The primary focus of this booklet is to inform others about the often unforeseen and surprising revelations and roadblocks involved in service-learning projects.

The KSU Scholarly Journal on Learn and Serve
All KSU faculty are encouraged to publish research in the field of service-learning in this and other scholarly journals.

In Retrospect: A Guide to Research in Service Learning
This booklet holds a compilation of abstracts, journal articles and other locations of research related to service-learning. It also includes a section on ideas and possible topics for service-learning research.

REFLECTIONS: The Annual Report of the Learn and Serve Center at KSU
The first issue of KSU Learn and Serve Center’s annual report will summarize Learn and Serve activity at KSU over the past five years, including information about percentages of involvement, results from service activities, expenditures, and goals and expectations.
