College of Continuing and Professional Education Facts:
CCPE offerered more than 3,600 programs, courses, and classes with nearly 22,000 registrations and 18,000 participants accumulating more than 310,300 participant-hours.
CCPE awarded more than 35,800 CEUS
In addition to students attending classes, CCPE hosted over 47,000 people attending meetings or conferences.
CCPE has awarded many hundreds of certificates to graduates in our many healthcare programs, human resource management, paralegal, culinary, meeting and event planning, project management, administrative professional, bookkeeping,teaching english as a second language, medical interpreter and others.
CCPE's endowment is a growing $4.2 million, and is the most heavily endowed college at KSU.
CCPE is the only continuing education program in Georgia endorsed by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training to bring standards to our professional programs.
The College of Continuing and Professional Education at the international LERN conference in New Orleans in November, 2011, received the 2012 LERN International Award for Excellence in Marketing.
In March of 2012, Dean Barbara Calhoun was awarded the Exemplary Service Award by the Adult Education Association of Georgia. This is the second consecutive year that Dean Calhoun has received a statewide award.
CCPE is the only continuing education program in Georgia endorsed by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training to bring standards to our professional programs.
CCPE's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) has received four grants and two endowments totaling $2,275,000
CPE's online curriculum includes 350 classes and 68 certificate programs and has served over 16,700 students in 40 states and 6 foreign countries in the past 5 years.
CCPE's wide assortment of classes offering Professional Learning Units (PLUs) has been chosen by more than 6,500 teachers since 2005.
CCPE's Futures Program offers 45 professional certificate programs to high school graduates (no ACT/SAT required) with profession-specific training, placing students on a solid career path in an average of 12 months.
CCPE's Summer University provides kids and teens with over 40 fun and educational summertime classes. Over 500 students were enrolled this summer alone.
CCPE's international programs have conducted 166 professional training programs for 2.278 senior government officials and business executives from China since 1992.
CCPE's Paralegal Certificate Program has been providing high quality paralegal training since 1985.
CCPE's Human Resources Management PHR/SPHR course has been preparing HR professionals to sit for the HRCI Certification Exam since 1995. The pass rates for the most recent exam window (12/2011-1/2012) were CCPE 100% vs the national average 58% on the PHR and CCPE 100% vs the national average of 48% on the SPHR.
CCPE's TESOL Certificate Program is lead by Masters-level instructors with hands-on ESL teaching experience. Since 2001 this comprehensive program has been preparing students for teaching English here and abroad.
CCPE completed Governor Sonny Purdue's "Georgia Customer Service Improvement Plan" during fiscal year 2009.
