Real Estate Sales Prelicense Certificate Program

The Real Estate Sales Prelicense Course prepares the student for a career in Real Estate. Approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission, this comprehensive course is required for all real estate licensing and prepares you for the real estate exam. Attendance is mandatory for this course. Note: You must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED to take this course. Textbooks and calculators are available at the KSU Center Bookstore and are required for the first class. Q. What does the Real Estate Sales Prelicense instructor-led course do for me?
A. The course is a Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC) approved course that prepares the candidate for the State Exam for the Real Estate Salesperson. This is the exam administered by the Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc. for the GREC. You must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED to take this course.

Q. How long does it take to complete this program?
A. The instructor-led course takes about three months. After successfully attending class and scoring at least 75% on the final exam, your file will then be sent to the Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc. for the GREC. You may call the GREC within 5 business days to make an appointment for the exam.

Q. When are the courses held?
A. The courses are held in January, April, and August of each year. You may choose from morning or evening classes. Registration is available at least six weeks prior to the start of a course. Courses usually fill up, so early registration is advised.

Q. How much does this program cost?
A. $545 for the program.

Q. Do you provide job placement?
A. Job placement is not part of the program. It is recommended that you interview sponsoring brokers if you are in the Real Estate Sales Prelicense course.

Q. Will I be a licensed real estate agent upon completion of the course?
A. You will not be licensed upon completion of this course. You must pass the course final exam with a 75 or higher and the pass the Real Estate Commission exam to become licensed. This course will prepare you for these exams.

Q. Do you have any online or home study courses?
A. We are not currently offering any online or home study courses in real estate.
