Q. I have been laid off from my job. Is financial aid available for me?
A. You may be eligible for the WIA grant. See the WIA section on the financial aid page.

Q. Do I need to fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)?
A. No, the FASFA is used only for degree programs.

Q. Are loans available for non-credit classes?
A. Yes, there are financial organizations who will loan money for continuing education programs. Please see the loans section on the financial aid page.

Q. Can I get a loan for the cost of books and supplies as well as tuition?
A. This varies by lender, but most lenders will allow you to borrow up to 60% over the cost of tuition to cover expenses such as books, supplies, and transportation.

Q. My credit rating is not the greatest. Should I still try to get a loan?
A. You may be required to have a co-borrower who will sign your loan agreement. Be aware that the interest rate on the loan will vary according to your credit rating.

Q. Can I start a class while I am waiting for my loan to be approved?
A. No, but you can use your credit card to pay for the class and get a refund after the loan money arrives.

Q. My employer offers tuition vouchers. Do you accept these vouchers?
A. Yes, we are happy to accept your tuition voucher and invoice your employer. The voucher must clearly state the name and address of the employer and the amount allowed for the class. We do not accept vouchers with restrictions, such as “will not pay until class is over” or “must make a C or better.”
