The Cybercrime Institute is a division of Continuing
Education at KSU in existence to fill a void in training for those
interested in information security and computer forensics. The Cybercrime Institute was created in response to increasing demands for forensic and security expertise in business, law enforcement, and government sectors. With rapid technological advancements, it only makes sense that the bad guys are using sophisticated equipment and knowledge to commit crime.
Corporate information security requirements are becoming increasingly stringent. As more employees work remotely, the need for computer security expands from the office to the home. With home computer usage at an all time high, criminals are developing creative ways to obtain both corporate and personal information.
To apprehend digital criminals, computer forensics has become an integral part of crime investigation and security. Currently, there aren’t enough certified computer examiners to meet the corporate and law enforcement demand for advanced skill sets. Click on the links below to learn more about our
