This skills-based training is structured to inform, challenge, and inspire participants to sharpen their leadership skills and assume progressively complex leadership roles in the areas of dispute resolution, conflict transformation, communication, facilitation and self-empowerment. Our training is specifically designed and tailored to acquire new skills and sharpen existing skills that will enable participants to optimize communication, management and leadership styles to their fullest potential.
At the completion of this unique one week journey participants will be empowered with the tools, techniques and a plan of action to foster and ignite organizational leadership to new levels. Each course is designed and tailored to achieve specific outcomes that result in developing and effectively integrating and utilizing skills for effective leadership and management.
Principles of Dispute Resolution: This course is designed to provide participants with an overview of the principles and components of arbitration & mediation. The course covers the ADR process and the stages and procedures of arbitration mediation. Although completion of this course does not certify you to become a mediator or arbitrator, you will clearly understand the basic principles of mediation, the nature and behavior of conflict, and the elements needed to create successful outcomes in addressing conflict and differences.
Communication: This course is designed to strengthen communication skills for leaders. by focusing effective listening, facilitating, and speaking. Participants will learn how to engage others professionally, how to communicate with authority and impact, and how to listen with a purpose. Upon course completion, participants will understand that they are the most important part of their message and recognize the skills needed to communicate with confidence, and enthusiasm in promoting trust, teambuilding and building positive relationships.
Facilitation: This course is designed to develop participants’ facilitative leadership skills related to the core values and principles of empowerment, collaboration and implementation in managing and designing meetings and directing teams. Participants will learn how to plan, execute, facilitate and motivate for the greatest return on meeting outcomes.
Self-Empowerment: This course is designed to provide direction and support for participants seeking ways to improve their own effectiveness and performance. Course components help participants identify personal pathways for positive growth and outcomes aligned with being effective leaders and managers. Tools acquired from this course will assist participants to foster environments that flourish and motivate individuals and teams. The course will enable participants to set personal strategic goals that will have a positive effect on their organizations.
Taught by internationally accredited leadership and conflict resolution experts, this course will be held at Kennesaw State University from September 22-26, 2014. Registration is $2,400 with hotel accommodation; $1500 without hotel accommodation

Participants are responsible for booking their own air transportation to and from Atlanta. Transportation to/from the Atlanta airport will be provided by Econorides (678-218-7170). The Center for Conflict Management will provide letters of invitation, but participants are responsible for the visa process and fees. If you have special needs, please contact us by September 12, 2014.
Cancellations before Monday, September 8, 2014 will receive a full refund. Cancellations between September 9-22, 2014 will be assessed a $500 administrative fee.
