Many of the Canon MultiFunction Devices (MFDs) around the campus are also printers that can be used from any Windows desktop application (for limitations see the Copy/Print FAQ). After you install the printer you access it by simply selecting the print command from your software. In the print window you can select which installed printer you want to use (MFDs with color capability are installed as two separate printers, one for color and one for B&W so you make this selection when you select the printer) and how you want your job run. You can select two sided, , stapled, multiple copies, etc. Before the job is printed you will see the Copy/Print PopUp Window. This is where you have the opportunity to input your Copy/Print Code. If you support multiple departments or grants you may have several codes to use depending on which funding source is paying for the work. You can enter a code each time or you can enter it once and not have to worry about it again. |
