Lindsey Archer
Instructor of Dance

Lindsey began her dance training in Charlotte, NC with extensive studies in the Luigi Jazz and Cecchetti Ballet techniques. During this time, she spent summers at the North Carolina School of the Arts and travelled nationally and internationally to train and perform at the Jazz Dance World Congress.

During Lindsey’s undergraduate career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she was an active performer and choreographer for the Modernextension Dance Company, where she received training in Limon and Cunningham techniques, as well as participating in workshops with renowned companies such as the Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak Dance Company and La Compagnie Marie Chouinard.

After graduating with honors from UNC Chapel Hill, Lindsey entered a graduate program in Dance at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, focusing her studies on dance theory. During her time there, she studied under prominent scholars such as Ann Dils, Larry Lavender, Sue Stinson, and Jill Green. Lindsey also spent time working with Ann Dils and Ann Cooper Albright on the online dance education resource, Accelerated Motion: Towards a New Dance Literacy in America.

At KSU, Lindsey continues developing her interests in dance theory and dance education.
