DANCE FACILITIES
Chastain Pointe Phase II
The Department of Dance is pleased to announce the construction of Phase II of the Chastain Pointe Dance Facility. This new 8,000 square-foot facility will house two large dance studios, a classroom, new faculty offices, a costume shop, a scene shop and a student lounge. This project is scheduled for completion in Spring 2013.
Chastain Pointe Phase I
The Department of Dance opened a new state-of-the-art dance facility at Chastain Pointe in January 2011. This 8,000-square-foot facility houses faculty offices, a student study lounge, shower and restroom facilities, and two large dance studios. The main studio 60' X 51' is the largest dance studio in the metro-Atlanta area, fully equipped with a state-of-the-art AV system, Harlequin Cascade flooring and a new Steinway Piano. The second studio at this facility 35' X 30' serves as a venue for percussive dance techniques.

Recreation Center Studio
The dance studio at the Recreation Center (Building 3) is equipped with a double-sprung floor and international quality dance marley. In addition to the 35' x 56' studio floor, the studio also has a seating capacity of approximately 100. This space serves as an informal performance venue for studio productions.
Studio 3
Stillwell Theater
The Howard Logan Stillwell Theater, seating 315, is a contemporary proscenium theater with the option of an orchestra pit or an extended apron. It features a computer-controlled lighting system and a state-of-the-art sound system. This facility is located in the Joe Mack Wilson Building (Building #31 and is home to the KSU Dance Company.
