Now that your institution has joined, every person at your institution is considered a member who needs their own Sloan-C account log-in and password. If you do not have an account already, or know a colleague who does not, one must be created at http://onlinelearningconsortium.org/user/register. This registration is for a free Sloan-C account. After the new user is registered, he/she needs to create his/her own profile (under “My account)” and affiliate him/her self to the organization.
Sloan-C sends out a monthly workshop update to all Institutional Members and College Pass holders highlighting the workshops coming up next month. Please share this link with all of your faculty and staff who would like to receive this newsletter: http://onlinelearningconsortium.org/mailing_list
A list of workshops can be found at http://onlinelearningconsortium.org/institute/workshops/2014/upcoming-by-date. If you have already set up an account affiliated with KSU then you will automatically receive the discounted member price.
Please contact the Distance Learning Center if you plan to attend a Sloan-C conference. With your membership, you receive 10 discounts for $50 off of the registration fee for our conferences. This conference discount will be in the form of a code and will be required during the conference registration process in order to obtain the discounted price. You will be receiving a conference code for each conference in a separate e-mail when the conference registration opens.
Don’t forget to take advantage of the $50 discounts off of the registration fee for our three annual conferences. Once you are logged into the system, you will automatically see the code in a block on the left hand side of the conference registration page. Please note that each conference has a different code.
All members of your institution have full access to website resources including the Quality Scorecard for the administration of online education programs, articles from theJournal of Asynchronous Learning Networks, surveys, practitioner documents, JobLine, effective practices, Listserv, catalog of online programs, and more.
