Teacher of the Year Initiative
The goal of the Teacher of the Year Initiative is for the Bagwell College of Education to work collaboratively with the school systems to recognize the Teachers of the Year as exceptional teachers, mentors, and leaders in their school, school system, community and university.
The Purposes of the Teacher of the Year Initiative are:
· To raise the status of the teacher to a higher level in all aspects of the teaching profession.
· To engage the teacher in educational opportunities to work as a mentor, university faculty member, university supervisor, speaker, and other leadership roles.
· To reward the teacher for the outstanding contributions made to the teaching profession.
