EECE Student Advisement Checklist and GPA Calculator

Directions for completion

Any box highlighted in yellow or green may be changed.  The courses highlighted in yellow boxes are the courses required by KSU to complete the EECE undergraduate degree.  The spaces highlighted in green are to be used to for transfer courses or extra course taken that are not needed for an EECE degree.  Remember this document is unofficial but can serve as an organized guide when you talk with your advisor.

Use the following abbreviations to indicate the origin of each grade:

  • KSU—Kennesaw State University
  • TRF—transfer grade
  • SUB—substituted grade
  • ADJ—indicates a course was taken more than once and your are using the highest grade

When entering grades, use the letters “A”, “B”, “C”, “D”, “F” and “N.”

  • The letter “N” indicated the course has not been taken.  You will need to change the number of hours to “0” if you want the GPA calculations to be correct.

This advisement sheet is easily used when calculating adjusted and GPA’s to determine which courses need to be taken to have the most positive impact in a student’s GPA

Note that the transfer GPA is a combination of the core courses and Area F.

This chart may be printed for future reference if needed.

All calculations on this sheet are unofficial.

The information is to be used by advisors and students as a guide only.
