Dr. Meadows Tribute

Aileen Jackman

"Dr. Meadows is a person that you meet and feel changed just for knowing him."
"He makes an indelible mark on every child and student."

Laura Franco

Dr. Meadows completely changed my life.  I came into his class not expecting anything different from my other education classes, but his lessons, not just on Montessori, but on whole child development, made me stop and rethink not only my teaching, but the kind of upbringing and education I want for my own children.

Debra Markham

The day I met Dr. Meadows quite literally changed everything about the way I thought about very young children.  He opened my eyes to this unique time of life and helped me to see all the possibilities that lay before me.  The Suzuki School has changed enormously in the eighteen months since I first walked into his classroom and we are now becoming the school he has taught us to be.

As a seasoned Montessori teacher and instructor, what impresses me about Dr. Meadows is his dedication to the cause of children everywhere, his thoughtful examination of instructional processes and his flexibility in his willingness to make change in the face of evidence.  And he is charming while he does all of this, that is unless a child is being endangered in any way

It’s been an honor to be a student of Dr. Meadows. In his presentations he captured the joy, the freedom and the achievement that I believe it was intended by Maria Montessori, making us feel the direct connection with her revolutionary concepts.  Thank you Dr. Meadows, for keeping The Montessori Dream alive.

Kathy Faircloth

After owning my own school for 20 years, I recently jumped at the chance to take Montessori Training with Dr. Meadows.  What an honor it has been to hear stories and experiences from the life of this kind, gentle soul! Dr. Meadows remains active and eager to pass his knowledge on to new students.

Carol Paxton Tedford

It is an emotional privilege and honor to have Dr. Meadows and his inspiration in my life.  Through him and his close relationship with Dr. Elisabeth Caspari, I am blessed and forever grateful, to receive a third generation gift of connection to Dr. Montessori and her message.  Thanks to Dr. Meadows, the influence of Montessori has helped me find a meaningful path in life that I thought was lost. In true passion and sincerity, I am devoted to help teach and spread love, peace, and respect to every young child for the goodness of all mankind.

I lack words to express the volume of CHILDHOOD EDUCATION knowledge i received from Dr.Felland Meadows, a GREAT TEACHER of Montessori Education. Never in my life as a student of education have i received such thorough, skills- filled methods for teaching. It is absolutely amazing. I count myself lucky to have experienced him during my exchange visit to Bagwell College of Education, Kennesaw State University , Georgia . Dr. MEADOWS is a GIFT to teachers of my generation. I pray God to strengthen him.

When I started Dr. Meadows courses I always thought Montessori was a special
way of teaching,  he has taught me that it is not so much a way of teaching as
it is a way of looking at life.  Dr. Meadows has provided me with a great
foundation that continues to develop me as a teacher, as well as a
"someday" mother.  I will always be grateful for the experiences he
has provided me with.

My journey to meet Dr. Meadows started during an attempt to simply provide the very best education available to my (then) only child.  After visiting a local Montessori school and showing interest in learning more, I was directed to meet the man tagged as bringing the Montessori pedagogy to this part of the country.  I quickly learned that Dr. Meadows was more than a Caspari trained Montessori instructor, Administrator and advocate but also a Montessori parent.  Like Maria Montessori, Dr. Meadows dedicated his life to working with children around the world. Dr. Meadows taught us how to develop the whole child to prepare them for success in education and in life – one child at a time.   And while this journey started as simply sifting through the daunting education options available in my area, what happened next was completely unexpected.  Like everyone who’s ever met Dr. Meadows in his capacity as an instructor, advocate or friend, I was transformed in the process, not just as an educator but as a parent of now two children – both of which are currently thriving in the Montessori environment. As I write this honorarium, I am blessed to join the ranks of those third generation students taught by Dr. Feland Meadows - Master Montessorian, humanitarian and child advocate.
