MASTER OF EDUCATION IN
INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

Admissions Requirements:


  • Obtain and submit official transcripts from EACH college attended. Official transcripts are those in a university sealed envelope. Your transcripts should reflect at least a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of a 2.75 GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Your transcripts should also reflect the following courses:
    1) Human Growth and Development
    2) Teaching Children with Exceptionalities (HB 671)

    3) Teaching of Reading


  • Obtain and submit your official GRE (General Test)
    Although there is not a minimum score, your GRE scores will be considered in the competitive review process. For more information on the GRE, please refer to www.ets.org.

  • Obtain and submit a copy of your Georgia Teaching Certificate (clear renewable only).
    To print a copy of your Georgia clear, renewable certificate, you may log onto www.gapsc.com.


  • Obtain and submit a Professional Resume

  • Obtain and submit 1-2 Page Professional Statement of Goals documenting education, teaching experience, record of leadership, and service to the professional community.

  • Obtain and submit TWO Letters of Recommendation that address your success in teaching and ability for success in graduate degree studies. These recommendations should be on school or business letterhead.

  • An interview may be required with Dr. Crawford, Program Coordinator of Inclusive Education. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Crawford via email at pcrawfo4@kennesaw.edu

  • It is advisable for candidates to be employed, at least part time, as a teacher in a public or private school.
