GACE Basic Skills Assessment Exemption

You may be exempt from the GACE Basic Skills Assessment requirement if you have earned qualifying scores on any of these tests:

SAT: minimum score 1,000 (Verbal/Critical Reading+Mathematics)

GRE: minimum score 1,030 (Verbal+Quantitative)

ACT: minimum score 43 (English+Mathematics)

If you meet any of the above requirements you must present your scores to the certification officer in KH 3018. Please do not assume that your exemption has been recorded!

Where do I find my exemption scores?

• Find your original score report.
• Check your transcripts from the first college you attended.
• Check your Kennesaw records through OWL Express and if it appears on there, print and turn in a copy.
• Ask your high school for your transcript.
• Call the testing company (they will charge a fee).
