The Bagwell College of Education is proud to offer the Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.). Our post-master’s specialist degrees are designed for the experienced and active professional. This profession shares our common commitment to distributed leadership for the improvement of schools and learning.

The specialist programs are highly selective and designed using a collaborative cohort model for the candidates. The faculty believe that leaders for learning must see and experience the collaborative, problem-solving nature of distributed leadership in their program if they are to be collaborative, problem-solvers in distributed leadership roles in the real world of P-12 schools.

Incoming students will be admitted to pursue one of the initial concentrations areas below at the Ed.S. levels:

Ed.S. - The Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Leadership for Learning may be awarded upon completion of 18 hours of the common core and 15 hours in one of the concentrations (33 credit hours).

Admission is granted through a College level admission process and is competitive. Please note that candidates admitted to the Ed.S. program will be given the opportunity to apply to the Ed.D. program, however, admission to the Ed.D. program is not guaranteed and is highly competitive.

HOPE Teacher Scholarship - Some concentrations may qualify for the HOPE Teacher program. For more information regarding HOPE Teacher Scholarship, please contact Kellie Oxford (koxford@kennesaw.edu - 770-423-6043).
