Welcome to the opportunities of global learning in international field placements PK-12. One hundred-one KSU students have chosen an international student teaching and learning field experience since the program's inception in 2002. Research shows that international cross cultural teaching and learning increase global perspective and effective teaching of diverse populations in today's classrooms.

The Professional Teacher Education Unit is pleased that seven student teachers taught in Belize and Mexico, Spring 2008, and that seven student teachers taught in Costa Rica, Fall 2008. Spring Semester 2009 five student teachers were in Belize, and eight teacher preparation candidates student taught in Ecuador. Twelve student teachers received global learning certification at graduation Spring 2009.

Kennesaw State University and the Bagwell College of Education currently and in Spring 2010 offer international field placements in student teaching in Belize City and San Ignacio, Belize, and Quito, Ecuador.

Ten elementary, middle, secondary KSU student teachers are currently doing study abroad student teaching Fall 2009 in Costa Rica.

KSU teacher preparation candidates have successfully completed international student teaching in China, Belize, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Mexico in partnership with the International Programs and Services, Institute for Global Initiatives at KSU.

Other international engagement activities include Teaching English in Korea, Summer 2008, 2009.
