Stimulating Curiosity

As educators, we have a wonderful opportunity to arouse the curiosity and creativity of our students.  If we can instill in them an eager want to learn, then they will be motivated to build their comprehension of the world around us.  By expressing joy and enthusiasm toward learning, we can help our kids to envision their full potential as valued members of our learning communities.

As an exploration of problems and ideas, science provides us with special opportunities to stimulate student interest and understanding.  Science can and should be an opportunity for students to actively investigate the questions and problems that interest them.  By giving kids time to wonder, think, and explore, we can enhance their engagement in the learning process.  In doing so, we can build both their comprehension and appreciation of the world around us.
