Georgia Academic Decathlon
High schools from all over the state of Georgia compete in this event that includes teams
made up of 3 A students, 3 B students
and 3 C ctudents. The theme for the 2009 competition was Latin America.
CONGRATULATIONS!
Lakeview Ft. Oglethorpe High School from Catoosa County, the GAD 2009 state champions competed in the 2009 United States Academic Decathlon national competition in Memphis, Tennessee April 22 – 25. The Georgia champions earned a 4th place finish in Division 3, and scoring higher than any other first time school at USAD nationals, they earned the title, Rookie of the year.
