Resources for Education Majors
New Student Orientations Fall 2009
All first-time, full-time students are required to
attend a new student orientation session. It is strongly recommended that
part-time first-year students and transfer students attend a new student
orientation. Please see Student Success Services for registration information and orientation times. Students who attend new student orientation
may be able to register for classes at orientation.
Bagwell College of Education: First-year Student Orientation
Representatives from the Impey Teacher Education Advisement Center, Elementary and Early Childhood Education, Middle Grades Education, and History Education will be available at orientation to advise first-year students regarding course selection and scheduling for the first semester. For general information prior to the orientation, please see “Frequently Asked Questions for First-Year Students."
Information regarding the KSU 1101 or Learning Community requirement can be accessed at the Department of First-Year Programs.

Bagwell College of Education: Transfer students
Representatives from the Impey Teacher Education Advisement Center, Elementary and Early Childhood Education, Middle Grades Education, and History Education will be available at orientation to advise transfer students regarding course selection and scheduling for the first semester. Transfer students are strongly encouraged to meet with an advisor and to attend a General Information Session prior to orientation. Please call at the Impey Teacher Education Advisement Center at 770-423-6105 regarding pre-orientation advisement appointments.

Office of the Registrar provides a website for transfer students
who want to know whether courses may transfer to KSU. Please see Registrar.
Advisement:
Students admitted to KSU who are interested in Early Childhood Education (P-5), Middle Grades
Education (4-8), and History Education (6-12), and
"Education Undeclared" are advised in the Impey Teacher Education
Advisement Center. Please contact TEAC
