Q: Will any of the courses I have already taken at a previous institution apply toward the degree program at KSU?

A: The first step would be to apply to Kennesaw State University and have your transcripts sent. The KSU Registrar will evaluate your transcripts and send you an evaluation letter. After the evaluation is completed, you can also view the courses that have been accepted for transfer credit on-line in your Owl Express student records. When you receive your transcript evaluation, you should contact the Impey Teacher Education Advisement Center at
770-423-6105, if your major is Early Childhood Education, Middle Grades Education, History Education or Education Undeclared. Please refer to the TEAC web site for the program area coordinator in an area not directly advised by TEAC. You would meet with an advisor in your appropriate degree program to determine whether courses you have taken at your previous institution(s) would apply toward a teacher education program at KSU.
